Seth Herman rejoined the Bay View Funding team during October 2004 and is currently Senior Vice President of Sales, National Sales Manager, marketing and sourcing new business for the Los Angeles, California office and managing the Bay View Funding sales team. He brings over 20 years of factoring experience including but not limited to credit analysis, portfolio management, underwriting and business development. Prior to joining the company he served with Summit Financial for over five years, most recently as Senior Vice President and Western Regional Sales Manager. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Sales for Bay View Funding, Vice President for NationsBanc Commercial Corp. (merged with Bank of America) and an Assistant Vice President with Heller Financial, Inc. Mr. Herman graduated with an M.B.A. from The Pepperdine University and received his B.S. in Finance from The Ohio State University. Mr. Herman is an active member of The Commercial Finance Association, The Textile Professional Club, as well as attending other industry groups.

Steve Barthol heads up Bay View Funding's sales in the territory including and surrounding the Central States in the Heartland. Steve has been employed in the commercial finance business for over 25 years, working in factoring as well as other specialties. He graduated in 1973 from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Prior to that Steve served six years with the United States Marine Corps. He and his son Joe, also with Bay View Funding, were awarded Eagle Scout designations.

Richard Carlson has served at Bay View Funding since April 1996, locating and qualifying businesses from the Minnesota office. During his 30 years in banking and finance, he has developed an expertise in transportation companies. Prior to joining the Company he was employed by Riviera Finance for 10 years as a Business Development Officer. He worked as a commercial lender at Security Pacific Bank for 10 years, First Interstate Bank for five years, and Marquete Bank for two years. Mr. Carlson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.

Mark Burgholzer, Vice President, operates from Spencerport, a suburb of Rochester in northwestern New York on Lake Ontario. Mark brings with him many years of financial and sales experience, most recently as C.E.O. and owner of his own factoring company.  Additionally, he is recognized as a Master Factoring Consultant, Million Dollar Club and has published several factoring articles, most notably the feature story in the Rochester Business Strategies Magazine.  He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology.

Gerri Watts brought 23 years of experience in the financial services and transportation industries when she joined the Company in June 1999. Prior thereto she served as Vice President of Sales/Eastern Region with Systran Financial Services from June 1989. Ms. Watts career began in purchasing of military-spec electronic components with Precisions Controls. She later joined Fruehauf Corporation as Senior Buyer and held several management positions during her 10-year tenure with them. Her experience in the trucking industry came as Central Customer Services Supervisor with Brown Transport.

Greg Brown has over 30 years of business management experience. Beginning his career in restaurant management Greg went on to become a manufactures representative of high tech tools used in the semiconductor industry, ultimately owning his own business before selling it to a Fortune 500 technology company. Richard Olson, Vice President, is located at Bay View Funding’s corporate headquarters in San Mateo, CA. where he manages BVF’s business development efforts in the Northern California, Northern Nevada, Utah and Colorado territory.

Richard joined Bay View Funding in 2007 bringing with him more than forty years of experience in the financial community.  His career in banking, which began at Wells Fargo in 1968, lasted twenty-five years before he entered the factoring and asset-based lending field where he worked with AeroFund Financial and then Capital Associates for the past fifteen years.

Richard has enjoyed developing lending relationships with emerging businesses and addressing their growing financial needs. His many years of experience in financing and contacts in the financial community have served him and his customers well.
